
Vincent Cohran, also known as Slim 400, the Rapper and good friend of compton’s own rap star Y.G. was shot and killed in the Inglewood section of Los Angeles Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened on the 8600 block of 7th Avenue shortly before 8 pm A Inglewood Police Department spokes person said Thursday. Officers found the rapper on the ground after hearing gunshots near by.
Paramedics at the scene treated Slim 400 until he was transported by the L.A. County Fire Department to the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Since the death of the Slim, there has been footage released via TMZ from a Ring Home Security Camera, which shows an unidentified man wearing a white tank top walk up to the rapper as he was sitting in a silver Dodge Challenger. Then an apparent struggle for the weapon before the rapper was shot multiple times.
This is not the 1st time that an attempt was on the West Coast Rapper’s life. In 2019 he was shot 10 times outside of his grandmother’s home in compton where he later survived after undergoing surgery. This is definitely another tough loss in the hip hop world as Slim 400, known for his funny saying “Hol Up” was loved by many big names in the Entertainment Industry, and also was a signed artist to Empire Records, the same label that lost lost King Von, fellow Los Angeles artist and friend Nipsey Hussle, Pop Smoke, and just as of recently Young Dolph. Even though some may have known his as a self proclaimed Gang Member, he had as soft spot for children and even leaves behind an 11 year old daughter of his own.
