Now just the fact that Jay-Z is even engaging into any form of social media is enough to put these “Internet Streets” in an uproar…But with Hov now entertaining the idea of a Verzuz Battle, The Streets is definitely talking.
Many Fans Believe That Lil Wayne Has The Catalog To Match Hov’s
Besides the fact that both rappers last names is Carter, and having a song together called “Mr Carter”, This is not the first time that Lil Wayne and Jay-Z name has been in the same Hip Hop discussion.
Actually they had a friendly back and forth a decade ago where both artist were sending subliminal jabs at each other, with Hov sending shots on his song featuring Kanye West called “H.A.M.” and another song called “La’ Familia”. Lil Wayne then responded on a leaked song called “Im Good” where the New Orleans rapper threatened to kidnap the Brooklyn Don wife Beyonce.
Jay-Z since responded to that vicious line with a sense of humor and admiration for the competitiveness that the lyrical southern rapper and the Hip Hop Game has to offer at the time.
