Atlanta 2000’s rapper Cash Out was recently indicted on charges of rape, sex trafficking and running a organized prostitution ring out of an Atlanta home and also hotel rooms. The one hitter quitter, born John-Michael Hakim Gibson, was arrested and booked into the Fulton County Jail without bond.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said Cash Out used his “hip hop celebrity status” to lure women off Instagram and other social media platforms into a life of prostitution. He’s a very talented musical performer. Unfortunately, he didn’t stay in the music business, and he branched off to a dark business that finds him under indictment,” Willis said.

Cash Out also faces charges of keeping a place of prostitution at a home on Alfred Avenue NW and beating a woman with a belt. “He’s accused of whipping one of the young ladies that was a sex worker” Fulton County deputy district attorney Earnell Winfrey told Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne. The rapper is currently facing 25 to life in prison.

Cash Out is best known for his only hit single “Cashin’ Out”, from his 2012 mixtape It’s My Time.

The song peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, number 2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and number 1 on the Billboard Rap Songs chart.In 2019, Cash Out appeared as himself in the movie Uncut Gems starring Adam Sandler and Lakeith Stanfield.
